Local Music

The Blawenburg Band will be performing from 6:30 to 8:30 pm tonight at the Summer Courtyard Concerts at the Princeton Shopping Center. Concerts run every Thursday evening through July 28.

The Blawenburg Band was founded in 1890 in Blawenburg, NJ. It is one of the oldest community bands in the state. The 75 members range in age from their teens to their nineties. They include teachers and students, research scientists and computer specialists, and homemakers and active retirees. Some players have years of training and professional experience; others learned to play as children and are dedicated amateurs.

Princeton Shopping Center is located at 301 North Harrison Street in Princeton Township. The concerts are free and ample free parking is available. For more information, visit the Princeton Shopping Center website. Don't forget to bring lawn chairs or blankets!

Let's see if we can get the Philadelphia Saxophone Quartet to play at one of these concerts next year. Who is the coordinator?
