LESS IS MORE..... IMHO... While we all would like to see "instant beauty", it is best if the plantings are left room to grow in naturally. As I've learned over time, overplanting just creates more work later on as you invariably pull out "all that dense overgrowth". Here's to looking foreward, beautifully! CHEERS!
While “less is more” is a commonplace among landscape designers, poor plant selection, appallingly bad plant placement, and improper planting are not. To any trained eye this job borders on incompetence. You really have to see it for yourself. It will make you feel sorry for the plants. They are going to end up as dead as the ones that were placed around the pathway at the front entrance two years ago. Not only is this a lousy job, it is a waste of your money and mine.

We began Princeton Landing News while my husband Paul was President of the Board of Princeton Landing, a 600-home community sitting on 94 acres above Lake Carnegie. Though we no longer live in the community, we're continuing this blog, publishing a mix of information about the Princeton area and beyond. Contributing writer Jon Latimer and I come from the business of publishing, where we wrote and edited—among other things—nature guides. So you'll also find a lot of information about the natural world. We hope you'll see something you like.
