FirstService Residential dropped the ball on repairing leaking skylights in Princeton Landing. A leak in our roof that we reported on January 7, 2015, was not repaired and is leaking again after yesterday's snowstorm, a little over a year later. Apparently our home was not the only one in the community with a problem like this. In an email to us last February, the FirstService property manager said, "We have about 14 leaks that have to deal with skylights. We are on it." Then in April, FirstService told us, "Our next steps are we are going to meet with a roofing co./engineer to come up with a preventative maint. (sic) plan before next winter to leak proof these homes that are having the issue." After five months of follow-up emails to the management company, a FirstService manager told us by email in May, "I have it to be worked on with the other ice damming homes in the community. This will be an end of July project." No repair was ever made to our home.

MLK Day of Service in the Mapleton Preserve
Friends of Princeton Nursery Lands invite you to join them on Monday, January 18, 2016, for a cleanup in the Mapleton Preserve on the National Day of Service honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. From noon to 3 pm volunteers will be clearing small trees, brush, vines and trash in the historic Mapleton Preserve. You are asked to bring any tools you may have, such as saws, clippers, loppers and rakes.
